Celebrating the Lunar New Year for the very first time in Hanoi, Lotte Mall West Lake aims to ignite a very brand new spirit with requirement of a "out of the box" design. We are truly inspired by this spirit to create a new Tet Dragon that not only cheers up the new Year but also attracts more youthful footfall to visit Lotte mall this Tet holiday. LET'S THE DRAGON ROLL A BRAND NEW TET UP!

"Rolling" or "Cuốn", "Cuộn" in Vietnamese is how we illustrate the dragon's specific way of moving. From this specification way of the dragon, we come up with the idea of humaniztion him with fun and attractive characteristic that everyone wants to roll up to join him in the new Lotte Mall. Then, our dragon is able to speak out and give blessings, good wishes for Tet festival in his own language, attract the youthful souls to go to the Mall.

THE FASHIONABLE, FUN AND YET THE MOST HANDSOME RỒNG IN TOWN.

His Characteristic: Fun, attractive, cool. He apprears like the most handsome boy in town.

His Language: Trendy, smart, humorous.

His spirit: Always be positive. Generous to give. Fashionable in the dressing.
The Dragon then symbolizes for the modern lifestyle of the young as well as the cultural flow of art from the old day of Tet to this rejuvenated Tet version of Lotte.

CONTEMPORIZING TRADITIONAL MATERIALS OF TET

Giving regard for the good custom in Tet, we create a modern contemporary design for the dragon and his belongings.

* Typography: The blessings/ idioms are designed in a modern character that simulates the feeling of caligraphy on Tet's red couplet. The lettering is liquified, creating a sense of flow resembling the moving of the dragon.

* Layout: Using narrow horizontal or vertical layouts that are unique motifs of Tet's red couplets, we renew them in a more trendy style.

* Color: Vibrant and striking Tet's color.

* Verbal: The copywriting for wishes used in the couplets is rejuvenated in the Dragon language, make it more humorous and attentive.

This is the way that traditional good things can easily be accessible to the young.
